Many people bought this Worx trimmer after having seen a commercial on the television. However the feedback received hasn’t been on those terms of the tall claims made by its incessant commercials. However I decided to purchase it since I have a medium sized yard and wanted to try it out.
It had a lithium ion battery and claimed to have a longer battery life. It also claimed that it could switch from a trimmer to edger within milliseconds too. Hence I decided to give it a try.
Price– Its cost is actually $160 but thanks to shopping on amazon.co I got this for just $132.57 and obviously shipping didn’t add to expenses.
Assembly- assembling wasn’t tough as it was delivered intact and the reviews I had read dint complain about it either so I knew there would be no trouble there.
Ease of use– I charged it for the need 3 hours and then decided to give it a go round the yard. The time I take usually is half an hour but with this I needed more as the battery died half through. What I learnt is if you have less or small grass then this will work fine but if tall grasses are what you have and a big yard is what you won then better try other options.
Power– Even though the highlight of the product is power, in my case it wasn’t so. As soon as I trimmed half the lawn the battery died. I had to go in for a recharge that needed another 3 hours. Also tall grasses seemed to mess with the machinery and only small plants were its forte.
Battery- When I had read about the Worx trimmer on the net I had known that battery life was a huge problem as it died within 10 minutes. I did experience something similar and it seemed tiresome to go back for a recharge after only half the yard had been done with. Some users had claimed that the battery lost lives faster than ten minutes and had to be replaced time and again.
Overall- Despite the problems with battery life the Worx trimmer could be useful for you if you have a small yard. You could keep it clean by regular trimming. Also if you wish to use Worx trimmer for a long time then charge it daily for 3 to 5 hours. Thus you can purchase it only if you can handle the Worx trimmer.
